What’s on the Pirates of the Caribbean Timeline?
This is the unofficial Pirates of the Caribbean timeline that started with a simple ride at Disneyland and grew into a film franchise after Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl hit theaters in 2003. Since then the franchise has launched several more films, a handful of video games, and even a series of junior novels based on the childhood of Captain Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp in the films). This timeline takes all of that media and places it in chronological order.
Where to Start?
The best place to start here is with the first film. The sequels are important to the story (if not quite as beloved as the first film) but they should probably be watched next. Then you can go back and fill in some of the gaps with the books and other media.
